Manual therapy
In manual therapy, all of the animal's joints are moved passively by the therapist without active muscle contraction, massaged and stretched using special massage techniques. This serves to maintain and improve joint mobility, promote the flexibility of muscles, tendons and ligaments and neuromuscular functions. Manual therapy also improves blood circulation in the tissue and stimulates the production of joint fluid. These effects also lead to pain relief and a better range of movement in the joints.
